Why Rainbow
Olympia Local Movers, done right
Local moves in Olympia are our bread and butter. Most days we're moving someone within the Olympia–Tumwater–Lacey triangle, or shorter trips to Yelm, Centralia, Shelton, and the rest of Thurston County. Hourly pricing makes sense for local — $160/hr for 2 movers and a fully-equipped truck. No mileage charges, no fuel surcharges, no weekend markups.
We've moved Olympia families from the Westside to the Eastside, downtown lofts to houses in Boston Harbor, students between Capital High and Evergreen, and retirees downsizing from large homes to apartments off Cooper Point. Most local moves are 3-6 hours. We don't gatekeep small jobs — a 2-hour minimum studio move is fine, same rate. We bring blankets, dollies, straps, mattress covers, and floor protection on every job.

How It Works
Simple process
1. Same-day quote
Call or text. We ask move date, size, stairs or elevator, and approximate inventory. Quote in 5 minutes.
2. No deposit to book
We don't take deposits to hold a date. If you say yes, you're on the calendar. Pay after the move, not before.
3. On-time, blanket-wrapped, no surprises
We arrive when we said we would. Furniture gets wrapped. Floors get protected. The price we quoted is the price you pay.

Common Questions
Olympia Local Movers FAQ
How much do local movers cost in Olympia?
Our local rate is $160/hr for 2 movers and a fully-equipped truck. 2-hour minimum. Add $60/hr for a third mover on bigger jobs. Most local Olympia moves run $320-1,200 total.
How far in advance should I book a local Olympia move?
Same-day and next-day are often available, especially mid-week. Weekend and end-of-month dates fill faster — book 1-2 weeks ahead for those if possible.
Do you charge extra for weekends or after hours?
No. Same $160/hr at any time. We don't believe in surcharges.
What if my move takes less than 2 hours?
There's a 2-hour minimum because of the time we spend driving to and from. If your job takes 1 hour, you're billed for 2. After that, billed in 15-minute increments.
